We will be completely outside at Dreher Island so no concerns about being in a building. Please continue to practice social distancing and face coverings as appropriate.
FRIDAY, Sept 11:
4:00 PM – Welcome and social distance happy hour.
6:00 PM – Supper on your own.
8:00 PM – Campfire: please bring firewood!
SATURDAY, Sept 12:
Registration: $15 per rig or $10 for singles. Children 12 and under are free.
8:30 AM – Breakfast prepared by your hosts. Not sure of the menu at this time but it will be yummy. Bring your plates/flatware and beverage including coffee.
President Jim Eaton will have a Brief meeting after breakfast to catch up on business and plan the day
4:00 PM – Happy Hour. Bring your snack and your beverage of choice.
6:00 PM – Dinner: Lowcountry Boil and the trimmings. Bring your plates/flatware and beverage of choice.
8:00 PM – Campfire, if we have wood.
SUNDAY, Sept 13:
9:00 AM – Short Devotional Service if we have a volunteer.

Updates and Thanks
Thank you:
Thanks to Marti Wallace and Darlene and Scotty Dudley for hosting the June rally. It was wonderful to see so many folks.
Congratulations to Jerry Peterson who was inducted as the Region 3 VP3 at the Palmetto Cove rally the end of June. Thanks to the Holdens for hosting the dinner at that rally. Again it was good to have some in person interactions.
We hope everyone is staying safe. We’ll keep adapting our rallies to try and stay as careful as possible.
Farewell:
Bill Reddel, 98, died peacefully at his daughter’s home July 17th. He and his wife Dot were members of our club. Although she passed about 20 years ago, Bill was a member for 50 years even though he had not been able to camp with us in several years. He was our president in 1987. He also took wonderful pictures and we missed his photos and good cheer.

2021 Membership Renewals: 2021 Membership Renewal season is here.
Please go to the WBCCI website https://airstreamclub.org/renew
Just follow the directions. The $10 club fee will be sent directly to the club treasurer.
HQ will be notifying members it is time to renew by postcard, email, and social media.
The deadline for the Annual Printed Membership Directory is December 31, 2020.
The Annual Printed Membership Directory will be published in February.
Rally Updates
** there are only 5 sites left at Palmetto Shores for Oct so call now if you haven’t made your reservations. Evidently the camping craze is everywhere!
Al Waschka awaschka@bellsouth.net had a computer crash and lost all his contacts.
“Please put a “save the date” notice in you unit’s newsletter and rally list indicating that the date is preliminary until confirmed by the Festival but for planning purposes assume there will be a WBAC Airstream Club rally at the Festival in Statesville, NC on the weekend of October 15-17, 2021. Either Matt Hackney or I or both of us will be hosting.
The Carolina Balloon Fest historically has been the third weekend in October. The Festival has not made a public announcement but in my correspondence with him the Executive Director, Bud Welch, has indicated continued interest in having us back as a group in 2021. They are planning for a new, larger site with better access and more RV parking.”

Ocean Lakes 2020: sites are still available for Dec 4-6. Please contact Jan Eaton at eatonrun@aol.com to get a site and a reservation #. Then you can call Ocean Lakes to confirm your reservation. They will need that site and reservation #. You can get your site number now and call Ocean Lakes later in the year to make your final reservation.
Unit Flag Update:
Jerry Peterson has gotten an update on the unit flag. The more we order the lower the price. We’d like to know how many members would be interested in a flag.
